This is not a sit-behind-a-desk safety job. They want somebody who likes being out on the floor, working directly with employees, spotting issues, leading training, and speaking up when something isn’t being done safely.
What I’m looking for:
- 1–3+ years of Safety/EHS experience
- Manufacturing, construction, or industrial background
- OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 is a big plus
- Experience with inspections, training, incident documentation, and OSHA compliance
- Comfortable identifying hazards and following through on corrective actions
- Strong enough communicator to address unsafe practices directly
- Tech savvy and comfortable maintaining safety records and documentation
- Degree is preferred, but relevant experience matters more
