Safety & Environmental Director

Apache Stainless Equipment Corporation is seeking an experienced Safety & Environmental Director to lead and continuously improve safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance programs across our manufacturing operations.

This strategic leadership role partners closely with operations and executive leadership to foster a strong safety culture, ensure OSHA and environmental compliance, reduce workplace risk, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The position also oversees product safety programs, workers' compensation management, safety training, incident investigations, and environmental reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead company-wide safety, health, and environmental initiatives
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable state and federal regulations
• Manage accident investigations, corrective actions, and workers' compensation programs
• Develop and deliver safety training and new employee orientation
• Analyze safety performance metrics and implement proactive improvement strategies
• Lead safety audits, inspections, and safety committee activities
• Oversee environmental compliance programs, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts
• Support product safety and liability management initiatives
• Partner with leadership to create and maintain a world-class safety culture

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or a related field preferred
• 5+ years of safety leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
• Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CRSP, CHP, or similar are valued
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, and risk management
• Proven ability to influence leaders and employees at all levels of the organization
