Join our global community of over 200,000 dedicated employees around the world in driving the transformation of the eyewear and eyecare industry.Job DescriptionGeneral Function: The Associate Technician will be responsible for set-up, operation, and basic maintenance of equipment within the assigned area, in surface or finish portions of lab production.Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform various tasks of area production machine functions at an acceptable level.Interpretation of Rx work ticketPerform production operations on specified equipment in accordance with established proceduresAbility to troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment and advise supervisor as to possible remedySpecific tasks include but are not limited to:Tool selection/replacementEquipment set up for daily productionEquipment clean up at day's endRun DAC equipment and observe machine for proper functionOccasionally sort and pack jobs for shipmentMaintain work area and common areas of the department in a neat, clean, and organized conditionUnderstand and follow all company and branch laboratory policies and procedures and assure compliance with all attendance & safety rules and regulationsMaintain confidentiality of all proprietary and HIPAA protected informationWillingly assist others as necessary to keep work current, meet deadlines or maintain an even workloadCooperate with other employees and demonstrate a good attitudePerform an acceptable quantity and quality of work on time as requiredProvide proper training, work direction, and technical guidance for less experienced employeesAttend in-house or company-sponsored training meetings when necessaryPerforms other duties as assignedBasic QualificationsHigh school diploma, GED or equivalent experience. Ability to read, understand and carry out instructions (i.e. operating procedures, safety standards, labels).
