RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Upper Extremity Orthopedic Surgeon to join our orthopedic service line at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville, New Jersey. This position offers a remarkable opportunity to practice in a high-volume, collaborative environment with an established referral base and strong institutional support.

The Upper Extremity Orthopedic Surgeon will provide comprehensive care for patients with shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand conditions, including degenerative disease, traumatic injuries, sports-related pathology, and complex reconstructive procedures. Responsibilities will include diagnosis, surgical and non-surgical management, perioperative care, and ongoing follow-up, with opportunities to participate in clinical research and educational activities.

Candidate Requirements

• BC/BE in Orthopedic Surgery
• Fellowship training in Upper Extremity, Hand & Wrist, Shoulder & Elbow, or related subspecialty preferred
• New Jersey licensed or eligible for licensure
• Strong clinical and surgical skills in upper extremity conditions
• Interest in clinical research and academic collaboration is a plus

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $400,000 to $800,000 per year. Compensation will depend on the candidate’s educational background, skills, and professional experience.
