Respiratory Therapist Position

We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Respiratory Therapists (RTs) to join our network of healthcare professionals. As a Respiratory Therapist contracted through Alto Health Care Staffing you will have the opportunity to work in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, and more. This flexible role offers the freedom to choose your assignments based on your availability and preferences.

Responsibilities:

• Perform assessments of patients with respiratory disorders and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Administer respiratory treatments and therapies, such as oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, chest physiotherapy, and mechanical ventilation, as prescribed.
• Monitor patients' respiratory status, including oxygen saturation, blood gases, and lung function, and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide patient and family education on respiratory conditions, treatment options, and self-management techniques to promote adherence and wellness.
• Assist with the maintenance and troubleshooting of respiratory equipment, including ventilators, oxygen delivery devices, and airway management devices.
• Document all assessments, treatments, and interventions accurately and in a timely manner, in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Current and valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) license or certification in the state(s) of practice.
• Minimum of one year of recent clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a relevant healthcare setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) may be required based on assignment requirements.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of respiratory therapy principles, techniques, and equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.
