Own and optimize paper machine processes and process control systems, building troubleshooting capability across operations while leading continuous-improvement initiatives that strengthen productivity, quality, waste reduction, and safety.
Responsibilities:
* Support achievement of daily operating results.
* Own and manage the development of troubleshooting skills among manufacturing professionals.
* Develop, train, and drive a structured approach to troubleshooting and standardized work practices within operations teams.
* Develop, standardize, monitor, and control process settings; train operators on their use.
* Identify, lead, and support continuous-improvement projects that improve long-term line productivity, quality, and safety; help ensure projects are properly prioritized.
* Provide day-to-day operational training and technical support to technicians.
* Support the development and implementation of process control systems that improve quality, production, and safety results while aligning with long-term organizational needs and goals.
* Partner with other Process Engineers to ensure standardized control formats.
* Practice, model, and uphold core values in all endeavors.
* Perform other essential responsibilities as needed.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field
* 0+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment; co-op and internship experience is accepted.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
* Working knowledge of statistics as applied to process control.
* Advanced structured problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and facilitation skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in an environment with frequent interruptions.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and perform varied duties with minimal direct supervision.
* Demonstrated technical learning agility, drive for results, sound judgment in ambiguity, and an approachable working style.
