Job Title: RPA Business AnalystClient Solution Architects (CSA) is currently seeking an experienced RPA Business Analyst to support an Advanced Intelligent Automation team delivering solutions for the U.S. Navy Personnel Command (NPC). This role focuses on analyzing, documenting, and optimizing business processes related to enlisted performance evaluations, and translating those processes into automation-ready requirements.The Business Analyst will work closely with RPA and Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) developers to ensure accurate data extraction, normalization, and validation through defined business rules.For nearly 50 years, CSA has delivered integrated technology and operational support services to meet the defense and federal sector's most complex enterprise needs.
Working from operations centers and shipyards to training sites and program offices, CSA deploys experienced teams, innovative tools and proven processes to advance federal missions.How Role will make an impact:Analyze current-state processes for enlisted performance evaluation workflows (e.g., EVALs/FITREPs)Identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for automationDocument as-is and to-be process flows, including decision points and exception handlingCollaborate with Navy stakeholders to validate process understanding and requirementsRequirements Elicitation & DocumentationGather and document functional and non-functional requirements for RPA and IDP solutionsTranslate business processes into clear automation logic and rule definitionsDevelop user stories, process maps, and acceptance criteriaEnsure traceability between requirements, business rules, and implemented automationsIDP & Data Processing SupportWork with developers to define requirements for data extraction from evaluation documents using IDP toolsHelp establish data normalization standards across extracted fieldsValidate extracted data against expected formats and business contextBusiness Rules & Validation LogicDefine and document business rules to verify completeness and correctness of enlisted evaluation documentsSupport implementation of rule-based validation (e.g., required fields, formatting, scoring consistency)Assist in identifying edge cases and exception scenariosTesting & Quality AssuranceDevelop and execute UAT test cases focused on evaluation document processingValidate that automation outputs meet Navy business standardsSupport defect tracking, triage, and resolutionStakeholder CollaborationAct as liaison between Navy personnel SMEs and automation developersFacilitate workshops, working sessions, and demosCommunicate progress, risks, and requirements clearly to both technical and non-technical audiencesRequirements What you'll need to have to join our award-winning team:Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance3–7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in RPA or automation initiativesFamiliarity with Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) concepts and toolsStrong experience in business process mapping (BPMN, Visio, etc.)Ability to define business rules and validation logic in structured formatsExperience working in government, DoD, or regulated environmentsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsWhat Sets you apart:Familiarity with Navy personnel systems or enlisted evaluation processes (EVALs/FITREPs)Experience supporting document-heavy workflows and data extraction solutionsKnowledge of data normalization and structured/unstructured data handlingActive or previous security clearance
