Automation EngineerLocation – Chicago, IL Preferred (3 days at client location downtown), but can look at remote if good candidateDuration: 6 MonthsKey Responsibilities:Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather and interpret business requirements for automation initiatives.Develop scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks and workflows.Integrate automation tools with existing systems and platforms to streamline operations and improve efficiency.Identify root causes of automation failures and implement timely fixes to ensure system reliability and performance.Create and maintain detailed documentation of automation processes, configurations, and best practices.Prioritize tasks effectively and manage timelines to ensure automation projects are delivered on schedule.Evaluate existing processes and recommend improvements through automation to reduce manual effort and increase productivity.Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in automation.Preferred Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field5+ years of experience in automation tools (E.g. Automation Anywhere, UiPath)Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
