RoughneckExpand Energy is hiring for the Roughneck position for our field operations team located in one of the following: Ohio, West Virginia, or Louisiana. As a Roughneck you are responsible for performing various manual labor tasks associated with the safe and efficient operation of a rig site under the direct supervision of the Driller.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform rig up and rig down activities as assignedPerform "nippling up" or "nippling-down" of all rig equipmentPerform general repairs and maintenance on major and minor rig componentsConduct assigned activities on the rig floorAssist the (Assistant Driller) Derrickman with mud-mixing dutiesPerform emergency proceduresEnsures that work carried out is in compliance with company policies and procedures and according to safety regulationsFollow oral or written instructions to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervisionInteract with others in a team environmentHave frequent contact with drilling personnel to give and exchange informationJob Specific SkillsManual dexterity to operate drilling toolsAbility to work flexible work schedule, including long and/or irregular hours, weekends and holidaysCapable of working outdoors in all weather conditions: (hot, cold, dust, dirt, noise, etc.)The ability to push, lift, pull or carry equipment of up to 100 lbsPhysical ability to immediately respond to emergency situationsTo be on call 24 hours a day when neededEducation & ExperienceMinimum: High school diploma, GED, or the equivalent is requiredMinimum: 0 - 6+ years related experienceMinimum training requirements: Health, Safety and Environment Orientation and Rig Specific Start Up TrainingAdditional QualificationsYou will be required to pass all pre-employment requirements including a physical demands, vision, and drug-screening test along with a thorough background and driving record checkExpand Energy takes necessary action to ensure that all applicants are treated without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, gender identity, national origin, genetic information, disability, pregnancy, military or veteran status or any other protected characteristic as established by law.
