Job Duties
POSITION SUMMARY
The essence of this role is to ensure that molds in the department are maintained by welding, grinding, and machining. They also must drive Continuous Improvement activities to provide quality rotationally molded product.
Hours: M-F, 6:00 A.M. - 2:30 P.M.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform minor mold and tooling repairs and modifications to support the production of high-quality parts.
Lead or assist with process improvement initiatives that positively impact the department and enhance customer satisfaction.
Maintain and manage tool maintenance supplies.
Provide production support across the company as needed.
Operate all equipment safely while following established safety protocols. Utilize required production equipment, including manual vertical mills, drill presses, manual lathes, plasma torches, oxy-acetylene torches, grinders, polishers, MIG/TIG welders, and various handheld power tools.
Proactively identify and implement mold improvements to prevent quality and productivity issues.
Recommend and execute enhancements to reduce future mold maintenance needs.
Perform preventative maintenance on all rotational molds and accurately document status using the mold PM log tracker.
Minimum Education Required
High school completion or equivalent preferred.
Minimum Experience Required
QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years related experience in welding, tool repair
Able to maintain a reliable and consistent attendance record
Able to read and comprehend blueprints
Ability to use oxy-ace torch and sand blasting equipment
Two years of experience in welding steel and aluminum through MIG and TIG welding
Two years’ experience in grinding procedures and blueprint reading
Two years’ experience using precision measurement equipment

The target hourly range is $30.00 - 36.00, depending upon qualifications and experience. The posted pay range reflects the expected compensation for a fully qualified candidate. Starting pay may be above or below this range based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and training needs.
In addition to hourly pay, the compensation package also includes eligibility for profit-sharing and monthly bonus opportunity.
