What you get to do: As a Roofer you'll roll up your sleeves, get your hands dirty and perform all commercial painting needs in order to provide a once in a lifetime memory for guests and team members alike. We're looking to you to make sure our rides are good to go!You will:Perform all functions of general roofing/carpentry work for in-park builds, repairs, installations, providing a safe environment for guests and employees.Select proper materials for jobsDependable performance in terms of attendance, acceptance of assignments, and strict adherence to all safety policies and requirementsPerform other miscellaneous duties as requiredWhat it takes to succeed:At least 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalentAt least three years of onsite experience in the roofing trade or in the carpentry fieldCabinet making experience; i.e. cabinet building and framing; fabrications of countertops, and more)Experience with solid surface and laminate counter top fabricationExperience in roof repairsExperience in drywall installation and repairExperienced in all phases of concrete workAble to work from blueprints or in-depth sketchesAble to operate and maintain power and hand tools and other equipment in good safe conditionExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBasic mathematical skillsComfortable working at heights up to 100ftComfortable building and working on scaffolding up to 24ftAble to lift 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds with assistanceAble to climb and work off of laddersComfortable with exposure to noise and vibrationsComfortable working around waterAble to work in all weather conditions and temperature extremesAble to train on and properly use protective gearComfortable working around fumes/dust/odorAvailable to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours including opening and closing shifts, weekends and holidays.The perks of the position: As part of the SeaWorld family, you'll enjoy a fun, fast-paced environment and great teammates, as well as:FREE park admissionDiscounted park admission tickets and passes for family and friendsPark discounts on food, merchandise, etc.Join the team!
