Rolling Mill OperatorLeachGarner is seeking a skilled Rolling Mill Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate is an experienced machine operator who can independently set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot rolling mill equipment while producing high-quality metal stock to precise thickness and tolerance specifications. This position is responsible for performing intermediate flat stock gauge reduction operations, including roll changes, material handling, measuring, recording, trimming, and quality inspections with minimal supervision.This is a career opportunity!
The Rolling Mill Operator is part of a structured four-level development program, with opportunities for advancement, increased responsibility, and higher pay as you continue to grow your skills.4-day work week! Hours: 4:30 am - 3:00 pm Monday - ThursdayResponsibilities include:Set up and operate precision rolling mill equipmentCalibrate, clean, and prepare machinery for production runsAdjust machine settings and perform roll changeoversHandle, load, and feed raw materials safelyMeasure and inspect products using precision measuring instrumentsConduct machine operation checks and troubleshootingMaintain production records and material trackingFollow all safety procedures and PPE requirementsPerform other tasks as needed to further our company's goals and uphold our commitmentsRequirements:Previous experience as a machine operatorHigh school diploma or GEDStrong math and measurement skillsAbility to read work instructions and process documentationExperience with micrometers, calipers, or similar toolsReliable attendance and ability to work independentlyAbility to read, write, and communicate in EnglishWillingness to work overtime as neededStand and move throughout 8-10 hour shiftsLift up to 50 poundsPush, pull, bend, reach, stoop, and crouch regularlyPerform repetitive tasks and visual quality inspectionsAbility to lift 70 pounds repeatedly throughout a shift utilizing safe lifting practicesThis role operates in a manufacturing facility where conditions may include exposure to loud noise, fluctuating temperatures (hot or cold), and moving machinery.
