Rolling Mill Machine Operator

Machine OperatorLeachGarner is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join our 1st shift team and begin a career path in our Rolling Mill Program. This position is the first level of our four-level Rolling Mill progression program and is designed for manufacturing professionals looking to develop specialized rolling mill skills. Through hands-on training and demonstrated performance, you'll advance through increasing levels of responsibility, technical expertise, and pay, creating a clear pathway for long-term career growth.4-day work week!

Hours: 4:30 am - 3:00 pm Monday - ThursdayResponsibilities include:Set up and operate precision rolling mill to reduce heavy-duty precious metal stock to a precise thicknessSet up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycleControl and adjust machine settingsFeed raw materialInspect parts with precision and measuring toolsTest operation of machines periodicallyFix issues that might occur during the shift and maintains activity logsUse various hand tools, micrometers, calculators and related toolsMaintain necessary records and move materials as necessary in performance of dutiesMay be trained in other areas as neededRequirements:Experience as a machine operatorAbility to read mill tickets and manualsAble to understand and speak EnglishGood math skillsMust follow all safety rules and PPE requirementsHigh school diploma or GEDExcellent and consistent attendanceMust be able to stand and move for a 10-hour shiftAbility to reach stoop and crouch for long periods of timeVisual acuityAbility to lift 70+ pounds repeatedly throughout a shift utilizing safe lifting practicesWhat we offer:80 hours holiday pay a year2 weeks paid vacationPaid personal days40 hours sick time per calendar year401(k) Plan with a company matchMedical and dental insuranceVision insurance and prescription drug coverageFlexible Spending AccountCompany paid life insuranceCompany paid long-term disabilityCorporate discount programProfit Share Incentive PlanLeachGarner offers the industry's most comprehensive melt to market precious metal products and technical expertise.
