Robotics Field Service EngineerWe are currently seeking a full-time Robotics Field Service Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of experience and familiarity with IRC5 ABB robots.Mission Statement:Responsiveness, communication and continuous follow-up are key components of providing excellent customer service to our customers.As a member of our Robotics Service Team, the Robotics Field Service Engineer position has a high impact on corporate revenues and on effectively servicing customers. This person is a primary interface between the customer and the Company and plays a significant role in determining the Company's image as viewed by the customer.

The field organization is greatly dependent on this person's efficient follow-through and communications.Main Accountabilities:An on call position to perform emergency repairs of Company system equipment in the fieldProvide system integration support of ABB robots to designated build shops as well as the end usersPerform robot program changes such as logic, software and path alterations through either off-line or on-line methodologyHave mechanical aptitude for performing any mechanical component repair or replacementProvide robot specific or systems training in an informal environment to customers as requiredHave knowledge of PLC communications and other robotic peripheral equipmentAbility to communicate with customers (external and internal) in high pressure situations and maintain strong customer relationshipsAbility to be proactive to support customer needsStrong initiative in finding work activities during slow periodsCapable of traveling on short notice and handle rigors of air travelSubmit sales leads for additional Robotic and system opportunitiesCommunicate work location and status dailyChallenges:Interface with Lead Center, Channel Partners and End CustomersDemanding CustomersMeeting internal / external Customers Needs & expectations in Timely mannerKnowledge, Skills, Experience:Minimum Associates Degree in a technical disciplineAlternatively, possess a special combination of education & Experience and / or demonstrated accomplishmentsGood electronic and Mechanical Experience (2-5+ years Experience)Troubleshooting through deductive reasoningRelated applications experience preferred: Spot welding, Arc welding, paint & Sealant applications, etc. (2-5+ years Experience)Have mechanical aptitude for performing any mechanical component repair or replacementHave knowledge of PLC communications and other robotic peripheral equipmentStrong desire to travelKnowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPointExcellent Verbal communication SkillsAbility to communicate with customers (External & internal) in high pressure situations and maintain strong customer relationshipsExcellent organization Skills – Detail OrientedCustomer Service Background Highly DesirableAbility to work with little or no supervisionAnalyze issues and use of sound judgmentManage execution
