MIG Welding TechnicianExpertise in MIG welding techniques, focusing on the assembly of components, parts, and structures. A strong ability to interpret technical drawings and adhere to work orders is essential. This role demands precision and a dedication to delivering exceptional craftsmanship.Hourly Range: $24.02 - $26.53 (Based on experience)Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Fanuc weld robot programing and operation requiredPositions parts in jigs or fixtures, or clamps parts together along layout marksLays out, positions, and tack welds work piecesWelds along vertical, horizontal weld linesConnects regulator valve to tank.
Turns regulator valve to activate flow of gas, and adjusts gas mixture and pressure to obtain desired flow rate.Examines weld for bead size and other specificationsChips or grinds off excess weld, slag, or splatterComplete tasks while adhering to production schedulesCommunicate any issues or quality concerns to department SupervisorEnsure compliance with all safety and quality standardsOperates all tools and equipment safely.Report any safety issues immediately to the manager.Performs other duties as assigned.Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:Candidate must be able to pass a 2G welding test in GMAW process with.045 solid wire1 year of MIG Welding experience requiredAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, uninvolved written or oral instructionsKnowledge of basic math, tape measure readingAbility to read blueprints and measuring tape preferredExperienced in a fast-paced production environment preferredAble to pass all EHS requirementsUnderstanding of manufacturing methods and proceduresAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to maintain accurate records and perform basic mathematical operationsAbility to follow instructions under limited supervisionPhysical and Work Environment Requirements:While performing duties, must be able to sit, stand, talk, twist, hear, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
