Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room
Location: Rowlett, Texas
Shift Options: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Days); 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Nights)
Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week)

Job Summary
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) provides comprehensive nursing care to patients experiencing acute illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies. The ER RN assesses patient conditions, prioritizes care based on severity, administers treatments, and collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and triage based on acuity levels.
- Monitor, evaluate, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and emergency treatments as prescribed.
- Assist physicians with emergency procedures and diagnostic testing.
- Respond effectively to trauma, cardiac, stroke, and other critical emergencies.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care.
- Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Current BLS Certification.
- ACLS Certification.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of recent Emergency Room experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
