RN - Wound Care

This is a 13-week contract position for a Wound Care Nurse. The candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing care for patients with various types of wounds, including ostomies, draining wounds, fistulas, pressure ulcers, and both acute and chronic wounds. The role includes providing comprehensive care and education to patients and their families about the evaluation, selection, and recommendation of supplies and equipment necessary for optimal wound and ostomy care.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM (No Holidays or Weekends)

Responsibilities

• Assess patients with ostomies, draining wounds, fistulas, pressure ulcers, and other acute or chronic wounds.
• Plan and implement patient care strategies tailored to individual needs.
• Educate patients and their families on wound care and ostomy management.
• Recommend appropriate supplies and equipment for wound treatment.

Required Experience / Certifications

• Mandatory Wound Care Certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in wound care.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• ACLS certification preferred.
