A Distinction given to fewer than 100 EDs nationwide.Shift: FT - DaysUnit Description:The Sentara Princess Anne Hospital provides exceptional emergency care to patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week with expert staff, cutting-edge technology and specialty services, including:Board-certified emergency physiciansEmergency nurses certified in advanced cardiac life support, trauma and pediatric certificationsPediatric-trained team to treat children of all agesOvernight observation rooms for children and a separate family-friendly waiting areaSeamless connection to easily accessible radiology departmentLanding pad for Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance to ensure quicker treatment in emergency situationsOverviewDemonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.Key Responsibilities Include:Providing leadership support to the day shiftEngaging in active, real-time peer coachingManaging conflict resolution and customer service interventionsOverseeing and optimizing patient flowConducting various audits to ensure quality and complianceWe’re looking for someone with a strong leadership presence—someone who is motivated to guide the weekend team with positivity, support, and vision.
