Baylor Scott & White Medical Center is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse to join our Trauma Progressive Care Unit. Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.

Unit Summary
This is a 38-bed Telemetry Monitored Nursing Unit. Working on 5 North gives you the unique opportunity to work with both Adults and Geriatrics. Working on 5 North, you can expect your clinical skills to become greater than ever imagined due to the high acuity of patients and verities of scope which include:
- Post ICU Trauma patients (serious injury to 2 or more body systems)
- Traumatic Intra-Thoracic injury, intrabdominal injury, and complex fractures
- Traumatic Musculoskeletal Wounds
- Complex Cholecystectomy and Appendectomy
- Bariatric Surgery
- Colorectal Surgery (bowel malignancies, inflammatory bowel disease)
- Thoracic Surgeries- lobectomy, Esophagostomy
- Urology- Prostatectomy
- Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, General Surgery

Requirements Of The Ideal Candidate
- Graduate of RN School of Nursing
- ADN required
- Active RN License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Require or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer
Qualifications
- Grad of an Accredited Program
- Specialized field of study should be nursing.
- RN license.
- Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
