Job Description:
This 13-week travel healthcare contract places you in the PCU at Marshfield, WI, a unit specializing in neuro-focused care like strokes, seizures, and spinal injuries. You will work 12-hour day shifts, managing a variety of complex patients with high acuity, requiring advanced skills in titrating drips such as Heparin, Nitro, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, and insulin. The team operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 during days and 1:5-6 at night, with opportunities to float to sister units covering a diverse range of specialties. Trach and vent experience is highly valued, and you will have the chance to learn and work with ventilators and other advanced RT equipment. Self-scheduling capabilities are available, with shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or PM to AM. The role involves working every other weekend, with notable holiday coverage, and an expectation to work in a fast-paced, multi-specialty environment.
