Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Charge Nurse, you will oversee a team of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your background in acute care, long‑term care, or nursing homes will add significant value to our nursing team. Each day you will advocate for your colleagues to help them reach their full potential, aligning with departmental operational goals. To thrive, you must be accountable, confident, and an excellent communicator in both one‑to‑one and group settings. You must also handle difficult conversations, as you are responsible for the performance of your staff and unit.
Responsibilities
- Assist the surgeon and surgical team in the operating room
- Provide care for patients before, during, and after procedures
- Develop and implement nursing care plans for surgical patients
- Ensure operating rooms are prepped with all necessary equipment and supplies
- Demonstrate a high level of compassion for patients
Job Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of acute care RN experience in the same unit
- Current and active Registered Nurse license in California
- AHA Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications
- Call coverage based on shift and patient volume
Preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Moderate Sedation training for monitored areas
- OR charge nurse experience or comparable perioperative leadership roles

Pay Range
$59.92 - $80.47 /hour
