As the Clinical Supervisor, you will provide day-to-day operational and clinical leadership, support staff development, ensure quality and safety standards, and partner with departmental leadership to drive exceptional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the daily operations of the department under the direction of leadership.
- Serve as a clinical and operational resource for staff.
- Assist with staffing schedules and daily staffing adjustments based on patient acuity and operational needs.
- Supervise departmental employees, including orientation, competency assessments, and ongoing development.
- Support recruitment efforts by participating in interviews and candidate selection.
- Monitor compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and quality standards.
- Conduct patient rounds and assist with issue resolution.
- Participate in performance improvement and quality initiatives
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
1 year of professional nursing experience in relevant specialty area
(special procedures, IR, medical/surgical, intensive care, emergency, perioperative, etc.).
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in nursing required
- Valid license or temporary permit to practice professional nursing in Louisiana.
- American Heart Association BLS-HCP.
