Overview
Contract Rehabilitation Nurse (RN) – In-Office | Northport, AL. Travel: Rehab RN. Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals. Schedule options include 36 or 48 hours per week with holidays as required and every other weekend.
Responsibilities
- Provide rehabilitative nursing care to patients with stroke, hip fracture, pulmonary conditions, and other rehabilitation needs.
- Participate in a multidisciplinary team approach to patient recovery within the Rehabilitation Pavilion at Northport Medical Center.
- Ensure 24-hour medical monitoring and care in collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners/physician assistants, and rehab nurses.
- Support patient progression through therapy equipment and modalities, including body weight support systems, treadmills, Dynavision for cognitive/visual processing, and vehicle-entry/exit practice for discharge readiness.
- Assist with daily rounds and contribute to patient care planning and execution.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in nursing.
- Certifications: AHA BLS; OR RED CROSS.
- Licenses: Registered Nurse license for the State of Alabama or a Compact license (no temporary licenses accepted); NURSYS.
- Experience: 2 years of experience required; 18 months may be considered with the highest level of professional license and at least 1 year of recent experience in the field of specialty.
Schedule & Logistics
- Location: In-Office, Northport, AL.
- Workload: 36 or 48 hours per week; holidays as required; every other weekend.
- Travel: Rehab RN; float to other units and hospitals as needed.
- EMR: Meditech.
