RN Unit Manager – Elderwood at Burlington

Weekly Pay | Leadership Opportunity | Gas Allowance

Salary $84,240/yr – $123,357/yr

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized nursing care plans.
  • Coordinate resident care with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members.
  • Mentor, coach, and support nursing staff while fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the nursing unit to ensure quality care and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for residents, families, visitors, and staff.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, staff development, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Monitor clinical documentation, resident outcomes, and quality initiatives.
  • Participate in leadership meetings and continuing education opportunities.
  • Encourage innovation, recognize outstanding staff performance, and continuously improve resident care and employee engagement.

Qualifications

  • Current Vermont RN license (or eligibility through reciprocity).
  • Minimum of two years of nursing experience.
  • At least one year of nursing leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Experience in long‑term care or geriatric nursing preferred.
  • Dementia care experience is a plus.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • A collaborative leader who builds trust, mentors others, and creates an environment where employees can thrive.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional, resident‑centered care.
