Staff Educator/Infection Control Nurse Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective infection control protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff
- Conduct staff education programs and provide training on infection control best practices, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to identify and address infection control issues and concerns
- Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with infection control regulations and standards
- Develop and maintain infection control policies and procedures manuals
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance infection control practices and patient outcomes
- Stay current with latest research, guidelines, and regulations in infection control and staff education
Staff Educator/Infection Control Nurse Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of New York
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a hospital or long‑term care setting
- Strong knowledge of infection control principles, practices, and regulations
- Excellent communication, education, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
