Night Shift
Responsibilities
* Provides advanced nursing care for critically ill patients requiring complex assessments, high-intensity interventions, and continuous monitoring.
* Uses clinical judgment and assessment data to anticipate, prioritize, and respond quickly to changing patient conditions.
* Operates, monitors, and adjusts specialized medical equipment and interprets data from monitoring systems.
* Responds to emergencies using established nursing standards, protocols, and life‑saving interventions.
* Assesses patient needs, develops and revises individualized care plans, and evaluates patient outcomes.
* Advocates for patients and families while ensuring age‑appropriate care across the lifespan.
* Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams and may serve as charge nurse, preceptor, or educator.
* Documents care accurately, delegates tasks appropriately, and ensures compliance with evidence‑based practice and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Education/Training
* Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Baptist Health unit/department.
Licensure/Certification
* Maintains current State of Alabama RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license
* Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
Experience
* Required: At least 1 year of RN experience in an acute care setting
* Preferred: At least 2 years of RN experience in an acute care setting
