RN - Registered Nurse - Cardiology - Multiple Shifts

Position Overview

• Department: Cardiology (7 North Building)
• Schedule: Multiple Shifts Available:
  • Full-Time Nights - 7:00 pm - 7:00 am, (3) 12-Hour shifts per week, (1) weekend every 4th weekend, Pattern scheduling
  • Full-Time Days - 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, (3) 12-hour shifts per week,(1) weekend every 4th weekend, Pattern scheduling
• Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's East (15 telemetry beds) and (8 IMC beds)

What You Will Do

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols ofthe healthcare organization.

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND Required professional licensure at time of hire.
