RN Progressive Care Unit

Position Overview

Location: UCHealth Greeley Hospital, Greeley, CO.

Department: Progressive Care Unit (PCU).

Schedule: Part Time, 48.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks).

Shift: Nights.

Pay: $35.29 – $54.71 per hour, based on experience.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited or state‑board‑approved Registered/Professional Nursing program.
• State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Six months of ICU or PCU nursing experience (RN) or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program.
• BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, with cards in hand by the start date.
• BLS/ACLS cards must remain valid for at least sixty days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide top‑scope nursing care using the nursing process.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional outcomes.
• Prioritize patient wellness, perspective, and evidence‑based practice.
• Precept and mentor new staff and participants in the UCHealth system.
• Adapt to a fast‑paced, innovative clinical environment.
• Ensure safety and quality of care at the point of delivery.

Session‑Specific Duties

• Direct care in the PCU’s technically complex environment.
• Apply AACN’s Synergy Model and specialty certification standards in evidence‑based care.
• Receive individualized specialty education and training through Clinical Educators during orientation.
