PICU RN Float
Location: Akron, OH
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Night shifts: 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00)
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated PICU RN Float to provide high-quality care for patients in our pediatric intensive care unit. The ideal candidate will be comfortable floating to our Summa location as needed and will be well-versed in care protocols for ventilated patients and infection control. Experience in a travel role is required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for pediatric patients in the PICU.
- Float to acute care inpatient units, including NICU, as needed.
- Administer medications and monitor patient conditions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including social services, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
- Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 1 year of PICU experience required.
- Active OH or Compact RN License.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
- Epic charting experience preferred.
