We are seeking a Pediatrics RN to join our healthcare team. Your primary function is to provide care for infants, children, and adolescents with an age range of 0‑17 years. Care is provided to patients with a variety of medical‑surgical diagnoses.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge and application of the nursing process to infants, children, and adolescents.
- Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Measure patient’s vital signs, such as blood pressure, breathing and heart rate, and initiate corrective action when the patient displays adverse symptomatology.
- Perform physical, medical and diagnostic tests.
- Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications. Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
- Assist treating physician during examination, treatment and procedures.
- Provide education, information, and support to the patient’s family.
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
- BLS‑AHA Provider issued card required within 30 days of start.
- ACLS‑American Heart Association provider issued card required within 6 months.
- PALS‑American Heart Association provider issued card required within 6 months.
- 2 years acute care pediatrics experience preferred.
