We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Observation Unit, equipped to provide excellent care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be familiar with intermediate medication drips (e.g., heparin, nitro, cardizem, insulin) and possess Charge Nurse experience. Our focus is on delivering high-quality patient care for those with various conditions such as chest pain, atrial fibrillation, and more.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care for adults and geriatrics in an observation setting.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses, particularly with drips.
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:4.
- Maintain effective communication with interdisciplinary team members.
- Quickly address patient needs and collaborate with EDOBS providers.
- Float between service lines and facilities as needed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting.
- Charge Nurse experience required.
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
- Familiarity with EPIC charting system is essential.
- Must have an active RN license in Ohio; pending licenses will not be accepted.
