Candidates must possess skills in managing burn and reconstructive patients, as well as off-service patients in progressive care status, including stroke and cardiac patients.
Description:The unit consists of 22 beds with a total staff of 35.
Day shift includes 1 Free Float Charge Nurse, 6 Registered Nurses, 2 Patient Care Technicians, and 1 Unit Coordinator.
Night shift includes 1 Free Float Charge Nurse, 6 Registered Nurses, and 2 Patient Care Technicians.
Patient ratios are typically 1:3 or 1:4.
Standard equipment is utilized in the unit.
The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.
Typical procedures performed in the unit include dressing changes.
The ideal candidate will be independent and able to work effectively within the team.
Floating may occur to Progressive Care Unit, Telemetry, or Medical Surgical zones.
Scrub color for the unit is navy blue.
Weekend shifts are required every other weekend, and there is no on-call obligation.
