Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry Nurse for a 24-bed Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry floor. The nurse will provide comprehensive care to patients, including those with complex conditions, such as stroke and heart issues.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients requiring telemetry monitoring.
- Administer medications and manage drips, including vasoactive and cardiac drips (no titration).
- Perform central line care and blood product administration.
- Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac emergencies.
- Assist in rapid response and code teams.
- Implement isolation precautions as necessary.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a Progressive Care or Stepdown unit.
- Experience with charting in Epic is required.
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
- Previous charge experience is a plus.
- Ability to manage and care for complicated patient conditions.
