Registered Nurse - Progressive Care UnitCity/State: Olathe, KansasShift: 12-hour Nights, 19:00 - 07:00, 3 shifts per weekContract Length: 13 weeksStart Date: 08/16/2026Job Description:The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) will provide direct patient care to adults requiring specialized medical attention. This position requires strong clinical skills and critical thinking abilities to manage patients with complex conditions.Responsibilities:Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients.Manage ventilation support with BiPAP, chest tubes, and PICC lines.Perform lab draws and manage vascular access independently.Conduct patient care interventions, including calling consults and conducting codes.Work with open-heart surgery patients on Day 2 or Day 3 with pacer wires.Float to ICU and various inpatient units as required.Requirements:Minimum of 2 years recent Critical Care/ICU or Emergency Department experience.KS RN or Compact RN License, BLS, ACLS, & NIH certifications.Experience with managing a nurse-patient ratio of 3:1 or 4:1.Ability to work every other weekend as required, with no on-call duties.Client Details Address: Olathe Medical Center Olathe, KS 66061 City: Olathe State: KS Zip Code: 66061
