Progressive Care Nurse - Night ShiftThis is a 13-week contract position.Job DescriptionThe Progressive Care Nurse will provide care to hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients on a medical/surgical unit that do not require transfer to the ICU.
The role includes delivering physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural support to patients. Anticipated patient populations include, but are not limited to:Post-operative surgical patients requiring increased monitoringPre and post-PCI carePacemaker placementRevascularizationCarotid endarterectomy not on titratable dripsThoracotomyHeart failure (CHF)Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA)Renal failureDeep vein thrombosis (DVT)Pulmonary embolism (PE)SepsisStaff will expect patients to be in relative stability while recognizing that some diagnoses may require skilled assessment and intervention tools for potential deterioration.
Responsibilities include operating advanced medical equipment and caring for patients with various support needs.ResponsibilitiesProvide direct care for patients from admission to dischargeCollaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient careAssess and implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervisionAct as a clinical leader and assist with precepting staffManage medication administration and common IV medicationsRequired Experience / Certifications / LicensureCurrent State of Montana RN LicensureBLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required (or obtained within 6 months of hire)EPNC and TNCC certification preferred but not requiredExperience with advanced medical equipment and cardiac telemetry preferredPediatric experience preferredWhy ARMStaffing?At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
