Job Description
The Transplant IMC Registered Nurse will provide post-operative care to patients undergoing vascular, kidney, and liver transplants. Responsibilities include performing hemodynamic and neurovascular assessments, monitoring surgical sites for complications, and managing patient care related to immunosuppressants and anticoagulants.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess vital signs and lab results for transplant patients.
- Administer pain control and IV therapies as prescribed.
- Evaluate graft function and identify complications such as thrombosis and rejection.
- Provide education and psychosocial support to patients and families regarding lifestyle adjustments and medication adherence.
- Coordinate post‑transplant care with the healthcare team.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of IMC nursing experience.
- Transplant experience strongly preferred.
- Active Maryland RN license and certifications in ACLS and BLS.
