We are seeking a skilled PACU RN to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a PACU setting, with additional experience in ICU highly preferred. This role involves providing postoperative care to a diverse patient demographic, including pediatrics and geriatrics. Responsibilities will include monitoring patient recovery, managing pain, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients post-anesthesia to ensure recovery is progressing appropriately.
- Administer medications and provide pain management as required.
- Conduct assessments and recognize signs of complications.
- Educate patients and families on care post-surgery.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- 2 years of PACU experience required; 2 years of ICU experience required.
- Current RN licensure in Maryland or compact state.
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS.
- Strong clinical skills in the PACU environment.
- Ability to float within specialty as needed.
