Overview
RN PACU Part Time – Synergy Surgery Center of San Diego is hiring an RN PACU Part Time. Synergy Surgery Center of San Diego is a brand new outpatient surgery center in the Mission Valley area that specializes in Orthopedics. The center features 5 ORs with spacious areas for pre-op and PACU. The PACU will have 3 suites for 23 hour stay if needed.
We are building a new team of nurses, techs, and business office personnel.
Responsibilities
- Under the direct supervision of the Pre-Op/PACU manager, implement physician orders and provide continuous, high-quality nursing care for all patients, continually evaluating their condition, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.
- Assist physicians in procedure rooms as needed, with conscious sedation and sterile technique as deemed appropriate.
- Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
- Perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
Pay
Pay Range: $45.00 - 60.00/hour (Wages determined based on qualifications and experience).

Qualifications
- Current CA Nursing License
- Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
- Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems, and correct errors
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, hospital staff, physicians, vendors, and the public
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, adaptability to change, creativity, and initiative
- Ability to adapt to change quickly with strong knowledge base related to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
- Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
- Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
- Excellent teaching skills
- Basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology
