RN PACU | North Shore Surgical Center
Responsibilities
- Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients in the PACU.
- Continuously evaluate patient condition for safety, comfort, and privacy.
- Assist physicians with procedures, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as appropriate.
- Deliver comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
- Perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient and family preparation for discharge.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
- Active RN license in IL.
- BLS and ACLS required.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in PreOp/PACU, Med/Surg, or Critical Care. Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred.
- Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
- Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
Pay
Hourly: Minimum $36.22 – Maximum $54.33.
