Description:Contract position for an RN specializing in outpatient surgery.Shift hours are from 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM.Call is a requirement for this position, with approximately 2-4 call shifts every four weeks.Weekends will involve on-call responsibilities from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM.The unit has a total of 18 outpatient surgery beds consisting of 9 double-occupancy rooms.The team includes 9 full-time RNs, in addition to 9 RNs shared with the PACU.Patient ratios are 1:4.The staff for day shifts ranges from 6 to 8 RNs.Typical procedures performed include pre- and post-op care for endoscopy patients, general surgeries, GI procedures, orthopedics, urology, spine surgeries, gynecology, breast oncology/reconstruction, podiatry, cardioversions, heart catheterizations, interventional radiology procedures, and bronchoscopies.Candidates should have strong critical thinking skills and be able to work well under pressure.Flexibility with scheduling is essential for this role.Dress code is navy blue attire.A team-oriented personality is preferred, but the ability to work with minimal staff during on-call hours is important.This position is an opportunity to join a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional patient care.
