- 2 years minimum PACU experience
- Experience in a large hospital (250+ beds)
Description:The position requires caring for all surgical specialties, including adults and pediatric patients post-procedures.The role involves caring for ICU, Cath Lab, Endoscopy, and IR patients.Equipment utilized includes Epic charting, AcuDose Medication Dispensing, Phillips monitors, vents, and BiPap.Critical Care experience is preferred.The schedule includes varied shifts, with the majority of hours from 0700 to 2300.Occasional night shifts and weekend rotation may be required.Staff may have to float between campuses for Phase I PACU needs.The bed size for this unit comprises an 18-bay Phase I PACU and a 14-bay Phase I PACU on two floors.The nurse-to-patient ratio follows ASPAN standards of 1-1 or 2-1.Dress code consists of hospital-provided scrubs.Training includes basic hospital and unit orientation and integration within the unit through buddy RN support.
