Job Description
The PACU RN will provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical procedures. The nurse will monitor patients' vital signs, manage pain, and ensure safe transitions from anesthesia to recovery.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and physiological responses during recovery.
- Provide care to patients in Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery.
- Administer medications and fluids as required.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and document care accurately in the Epic system.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout their recovery process.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 4 years of nursing experience.
- Current South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS.
- Epic experience is required.
