WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. This position involves working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing exceptional care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in surgical nursing and a strong ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer medications orally, subcutaneously, and intravenously, and accurately record prescribed medications.
- Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with hospital policy.
- Educate patients on surgical procedures and record patients' medical information and vital signs.
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, interpreting and recording electronic displays.
- Initiate corrective action whenever necessary to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
