Auto Offer EPIC BACKFILL, Day Shift 36 or 48 hours per week (Rate provided is for 36 hours). FLOATING REQUIRED TO BAKERSFIELD AS NEEDED.

Come when needed Transport Team: No Unit Secretary on Unit: Based on census, if census allows a UA is present. Otherwise covered by a Tech or an RN. No in-house OB hospitalist. Special Equipment Used on This Unit: Natus hearing screen machine, Neptune waste management system in OR, standing patient transfer device, FetaLink Special Procedures Performed on This Unit: C/S Scrubs: Provided Additional Information: 24/7 CRNA coverage. No NICU on campus.

Job Summary

Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.

Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.

Job Requirements

• Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
• Acute care facility experience: Preferred
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required
• AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS: Required
• S.T.A.B.L.E Certification (STABLE): Required
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS: Required
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM): Required

Provides learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members.

Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment team.

Participates in discharge planning in order to provide continuity of care.

Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
