Job Summary
Supervises nursing staff, assesses patient needs, and provides nursing care. Plans and organizes training for unit staff members and participates in guidance and educational programs.
Essential Functions
- Hire, train, supervise and evaluate designated nursing staff; assign duties and coordinate nursing services.
- Participate in developing nursing protocols and procedures.
- Provide continuing education and staff development opportunities.
- Assess patient needs; participate in providing nursing care; ensure services are carried out and documented appropriately.
- Maintain patient health care records.
- Maintain supply inventory records; order supplies and equipment as necessary.

- Supervisory skills and ability to evaluate job performance.
- Ability to make decisions and accept responsibility for the work unit.
- Time‑management skills and ability to organize priorities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all patient and/or employee information to protect rights.

- Must read, write and speak fluent English.

Qualifications
- Education: Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid state Registered Nurse license and Valid BLS certification.
- Experience: Two years of nursing experience in a hospital; 1–2 years supervisory/leadership experience.
