About This Role
The RN in the NICU provides specialized nursing care for newborns, utilizing clinical judgment to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who thrive in a collaborative healthcare environment.

What You'll Do
- Perform accurate multi-system assessments, including biophysical, psychosocial, and environmental needs.
- Identify deviations from normal on routine lab diagnostic tests and reassess patients throughout hospitalization.
- Develop an individual nursing plan of care sensitive to the developmental needs of the patient.
- Coordinate patient care activities and discharge planning with other departments and community agencies.
- Initiate appropriate measures based on protocol for managing medical and/or surgical patients.
- Correctly carry out the physician's plan of care and accurately document in the EMR.
- Utilize a multidisciplinary approach when appropriate and perform all necessary procedures correctly.
- Evaluate assessment methods, plan of care, and patient responses to treatment.
- Participate in unit quality assurance activities.

Education
- RN License required
Experience
- Experience in a NICU setting preferred
Licenses & Certifications
- Current RN License in Oregon
