RN NICU, Per Diem, Nights

Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and providing high quality, individualized patient care using the components of the nursing process.
• Work collaboratively with the Director of Women and Children Services.
• Distinguish health‑care provider services for the local multicultural community.

Requirements

• Graduate of Registered Nursing Program
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to work in a union environment.
• Minimum of one (1) year recent experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Two (2) years experience in a Nursery/NICU setting preferred.
• Valid California State Registered Nurse License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certificate from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) or American Heart Association (AHA)
• S.T.A.B.L.E. Baby Assessment (required within 6 months of hire)
• Active Los Angeles County Fire Card (required within 30 days of employment)
• Assault Response Competency (ARC) (required within 30 days of employment)

Core Competencies

Demonstrates expertise in individualized patient care within a Nursery/NICU setting, utilizing the nursing process while effectively communicating in a multicultural environment. Holds essential certifications and licenses to ensure high‑quality care and compliance with healthcare standards.
