Responsibilities
- Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and providing high quality, individualized patient care using the components of the nursing process.
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Women and Children Services.
- Distinguish health‑care provider services for the local multicultural community.
Requirements
- Graduate of Registered Nursing Program
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to work in a union environment.
- Minimum of one (1) year recent experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Two (2) years experience in a Nursery/NICU setting preferred.
- Valid California State Registered Nurse License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certificate from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) or American Heart Association (AHA)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. Baby Assessment (required within 6 months of hire)
- Active Los Angeles County Fire Card (required within 30 days of employment)
- Assault Response Competency (ARC) (required within 30 days of employment)
Core Competencies
Demonstrates expertise in individualized patient care within a Nursery/NICU setting, utilizing the nursing process while effectively communicating in a multicultural environment. Holds essential certifications and licenses to ensure high‑quality care and compliance with healthcare standards.
