Key Responsibilities Provide safe, competent, and high-quality nursing care to an assigned group of patients. Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changes in patient condition. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
Monitor telemetry patients and respond appropriately to changes in cardiac status. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital policies. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, discharge planning, and health promotion. Perform purposeful rounding and maintain effective patient communication. Promote patient safety, quality improvement, and infection prevention practices.
Assist with patient throughput, care coordination, and discharge planning. Perform charge nurse responsibilities when assigned. Required Qualifications Active New York State RN License BSN required Minimum 2 years of RN experience Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience Med-Surg experience BLS certification ACLS certification Strong patient assessment and critical-thinking skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team Strong documentation and organizational skills Experience with EPIC is highly preferred Education: Bachelor's (Preferred) Experience: Medical-surgical: 2 years (Required) RN: 3 years (Required) Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 1 - 3 years Salary: $45 - $50 Hourly Bonus/Commission: No
