Experience in telemetry monitoring, including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours. Ability to perform cardiac drips and reading telemetry strips.Description: Responsible for cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, and reading telemetry strips. Float throughout the hospital to all Med/Surg Tele areas. Care for emergency department border patients. Function as a medication nurse in the acute mental health unit. Care for non-vented patients who are transfer ready in the ICU. Clinician to patient ratio is up to 5:1 during the day and evening shifts, and up to 6:1 at night. Units range from 8 to 41 beds. Rotate between day/evening and night shifts per contract. EMR charting system is EPIC.
