Job Description
The Labor and Delivery Nurse will provide comprehensive care for patients in the Maternal Infant Unit, facilitating labor, delivery, and postpartum care. This role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient safety and comfort, while adhering to current protocols and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage labor and delivery processes, ensuring optimal maternal and neonatal outcomes.
- Provide care for antepartum patients, including assessment and intervention as necessary.
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and newborn care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Adhere to institutional policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- At least 2 years of labor experience required.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal monitoring certification.
- Preferred: 2+ years of labor experience with a history working in an LDRP with high birth volumes.
